Little Acorns Age Ranges

We’d love to welcome you! At Little Acorns, we welcome children from all sections of the local community and we cater for children between the ages of 2 and 4¼ years.

We closely follow the three school terms – Autumn, Spring and Summer – and we admit children at the start of each of these terms. Your child will usually join us at the start of the term after they become 2, and they can stay with us until the end of the term in which they have their 4th birthday.

Sessions & Payment

Children usually start with two sessions per week when they are 2, though we can provide more.  Children under three may attend all day if this has been discussed with the kindergarten manager and it is agreed to be appropriate for the child.  Each term you will be given an opportunity to increase the number of sessions your child attends.

Our Over 3s (and some 2 year olds if eligible) can benefit from Local Authority Universal Funding up to a maximum of 15 hours per week.  You may be eligible for 15 Extended hours which would equate to 30 hours of funding per week (see links below).  Outside of that funding, our charge is £5.50 per  hour.

We offer a variety of methods of payment of fees including vouchers.  This can be discussed further upon application.
